With two Wednesday nights left on the season, ending at the end of September, the racing held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 saw a good turnout in the racing classes and the test and tune.
Greg Lattarulo of South Windsor, CT, the winner of the Sportsman ET class received a special NHRA.TV Challenge wally and NHRA hat when he defeated Billy Kirpens, Jr in the final. Ron Christie of Wingdale, NY lost in the semi-finals. I normally don't point out the actually race times but with the final of this race, it is a must. Lattarulo ran on his dial-in with a zero as did Kirpens. The win was determined off the starting line by the reaction times when Lattarulo had a .026 to Kirpens' .039.
Bob Bradley of Fort Edward, NY took home another trophy when he defeated Nick Nafumi of Monson MA in the final of Pure Street Motorcycle. Larry Hoyt, Jr. of Saugerties, NY was defeated in the semi-finals.
In the Street Stick Class, Jesse Farquhar of Monson, MA took the win over Troy Copeland of Southampton, MA. Marc Faucher of Cheshire, MA lost in the semi-finals.
In the Street Trophy class, Jay Ranken of Averill Park, NY defeated Greg Kloten of Wethersefield, CT in the final. Anthony DePasquale of Valatie, NY and Jim Hinman of Schenectady, NY lost in the semi-finals.
There is one week left to the Wednesday Street Nights on September 27. Don't miss out! Check the calendar of events on the website at www.dragway.com to check out the upcoming events on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through October.
