Saturday, September 7, 2024 marked the final race for Orient Express Bikes in the Valley for the 2024 season and the crowning of the champions in the three classes, 9.2 Below, Pro and Street. It also marked the crowning of the champion of the North East Super Street Association with the final meet. The rain held off until the afternoon which afforded all classes getting their final races completed. Thank you to everyone who competed this year and congratulations to all those who took home the championships.
Starting out with the North East Super Street Association. It's nothing like putting a cherry on top with a final meet win with a perfect run and the clenching of the 2024 championship! That's what Mike Fitts from Groton, CT did on his final run in the final to take the win over Frank Volpe III of Poughkeepsie, NY. Laura LeQue of Troy, NY and William Blaker III of New Rochelle, NY finished their final race in the semi-finals.
The Schnitz Racing sponsored Bikes in the Valley 9.2 Below final race was won by Adam Sheran of Blandford, MA when he defeated Ryan Beardsley of Derby, CT. John Hastings of Poughkeepsie, NY finished his day in the semi-finals. Matt Gazaille of Whitensville, MA was crowned the 2024 BIV 9.2 Below Champion.
The MPS sponsored Bikes in the Valley Pro was won by Ryan Beardsley of Derby, CT when he defeated Duke Huyck of Valatie, NY. Adam Sheran of Blandford, MA finished his day in the semi-finals but not before he was crowned the 2024 BIV Pro Champion.
The M2Shocks sponsored Bikes in the Valley class was a nail biter. The class championship came down to the last race on the last day to determine who would be on top and ultimately Bob Bradley of Ford Edward, NY would win the day and the championship by 2 points over Floyd Appleby of Delmar, NY. Larry Hoyt, Jr. of Elizaville, NY finished his day in the semi-finals.
