Racers Grab Victories in the LVD Lucas Oil Regional Event...Including one over Mother Nature

If anyone had watched the weather forecast for the weekend of June 10-June 12, 2022, they probably would have stayed home and figured what to do around the house. With a forecast of showers and possible thunderstorms from Thursday through Sunday, the prospect of getting the NHRA Lucas Oil Regional Race in the books was looking rather bleak.

But, as they say, the show must go on and it did. With the hard work of the Lebanon Valley Dragway crew and the NHRA Division 1 staff, it was done in spectacular style, crowning first time winners and some who haven't seen a divisional win in 20+ years.

Thursday started off with rain in the morning and afternoon but the crew was hard at work with drying the track and racers were given the opportunity to participate in a test session late in the afternoon under blue skies to prepare their missles for a weekend of side by side action.

Friday through Sunday, spectators, family and friends were treated to the Valley's own weather vortex and the forecasts were wrong. Congratulations to all the racers who participated in the event and to those who would add a coveted "Wally" trophy to their collection. Thanks for making memories.
