Talk about a busy day at The Valley. There were bikes, sleds, cars, juniors and so much more on Saturday, August 9, 2025 and we got it done! The Northeast Pro Stock Sled Series was at the track for a two day points event. No it wasn't snowing. It was getting hot both on the track and off and these guys and girls laid it down on the asphalt. Then we had the two wheeled cousins, the Bikes in the Valley with three different classes, Street, Pro and 9.2 Below bringing the side by side excitement of bikes to the quarter mile.
Add on the final race of the Junior Dragster Summer Series sponsored by Affordable CDL Training School, an impromptu gamblers race in non-electronic and electronics and the crew from NODRAMA (Northeast Old Drag Racers And Musclecar Association) as well as test and tune, and you could say we had a full plate.

The final race of the Junior Dragster Summer Series hit the track. Thank you to all the sponsors who helped get this race series underway and thanks to all the kids and their families for supporting it. Joey Porfilio of East Longmeadow, MA took the win when he defeated Mason Spinelli of Latham, NY. Erica Laliberty of Pelham, NH and James Laliberty also from Pelham, NH finished their day in the semi-finals.

On a day when there was no scheduled regular gamblers races on the schedule, there was enough interest to throw a quarter mile gamblers together. In the non-electronic class, Kyle Armstrong of Hartford, NY defeated Chris Lofgren of Schuylerville, NY in the final. Steve Nowakowski of East Hampton, CT finished his day in the semi-finals .
In the electronics gamblers races, Dave Jones of Salisbury, CT took the win when he defeated RJ Deveau of Bristol, CT in the final. Jenna Nichols of Marlborough, CT finished her day in the semi-finals.

Joshua Hoxie of Winsted, CT took the win in Prostock Sled when he defeated Keith Culley of Sterling, MA. Ronny Aylward of Farmington, NH finished in the semi-finals.

It was the battle of the greens in the fastest motorcycle class of the Bikes in the Valley 9.2 Below. Duke Huyck of Valatie, NY defeated Bob Bradley of Fort Edward, NY in the final round. Matt Gazaille of Putnam, CT finished in the semi-finals.

Ben Fish of Averill Park, NY gave his wife a birthday present and took the win in Bikes in the Valley Pro Eliminator when he defeated Darrell Aubin of Corinth, NY. Matt Gazaille of Putnam, CT did a double up semi final finish when he finished in the semi's in Pro.

Jonathan Tisdale of Napanoch, NY took the win in Bikes in the Valley Street when he defeated Larry Hoyt, Jr of Elizaville, NY. Bob Bradley of Fort Edward, NY and Ed Green of Springfield, MA finished in the semi-finals.

And as for the NODRAMA crew..... Thanks to Jason Heintz for the following update.
"NSYNC once sang, "BYE BYE BYE", and couldn't be a more fitting tune for Saturday. NODRAMA packed the pits once again at The Valley for event number 8 on our 2025 season. The early season weather debacle of four rain-outs in a row, are now a distant memory. More breakage, more carnage, COMP Byes, head cutting reaction time BYES, early exits, and standings shakeups. The gang in the NODRAMA HQ Trailer had their hands full keeping the round by round on point.
Here we go!
Another full field, another 6-round day, anything can happen on any given NODRAMA Saturday. Local legend Hal Oaks made his return to the NODRAMA membership ranks putting on a veteran racer clinic marching to the finals. While on the other side of the ladder, the OG Young Gun Ritchie Evan Degraff quietly notched one round win after another to also arrive in the big dance. Taking his first win of the season, and making a massive move cracking into the Top10... your winner Ritchie Junior!
We mentioned in the last event ReCap, the old adage, Consistency wins championships. This is the way to holding on to the top spot. Points leader Mike Charron with another solid showing, put some distance on now tied for number 2, Bob Rizzo and Kurt Burns. The 2025 Crown is still anyone's for the taking
We have our longest break of the season ahead and will return to Lebanon Valley Dragway for event number 9 on August 30th. Event 9 is an important bookmarked race date. 8/30 race day is our official new-member cutoff. Anyone interested in running with NODRAMA in 2025 MUST commit at this event, with all dues paid in full to run the remaining 5 events this season. No new members will be accepted into NODRAMA after this event. We open up the membership again in prep for the 2026 season at our official season ending/champion crowning/season beginning banquet always on the books sometime in February (2026).
As always, we'll see you at the track and, Stay tuned..."
