I was hoping to be able to write about the opening weekend at Lebanon Valley Dragway but Mother Nature has been off her medicines and hasn't been nice on Saturdays or Sundays.
The Friday track rentals have had a great response and both Fridays have been well attended with lots of test runs. If anyone wishes to participate in a track rental, there are sign ups and pre-pay options to save some money up until 5pm the day before the rental listed on the website. There is also the option to show up the day of the rental and pay at the gate. Check the schedule for available rentals or any restrictions.

Some changes have occurred in the off season and many kudos to the Lebanon Valley Dragway staff for spending their off weekends during the winter to reconstruct the first floor of the tower to accommodate a new novelty area, viewing area and office area. The black trailer near the concession area will no longer be used. Stop in the tower and check it out.
Novelty items will now be available any time the office is open. The office/novelty area is also for payouts, helmet rentals and sign ups for gamblers races.

K.B. Performance has set up a speed shop for the convenience of the racers with safety equipment, oils and other items for sale. No need to go home. We may have what you need.
The track got some loving with some grinding work.

Unfortunately, the "back forty" pit area didn't get as much love as was intended because people couldn't cooperate and staked the entire field making it look like a mine field when they were asked not to.

As a reminder, if you have paid to leave your trailers or campers, you have paid for a privilege to leave your things there and not for a specific parking area. Be courteous to each other. Parking is on a first come, first served basis. Please play nice.
No permanent parking is permitted on the paved areas. This is for weekend parking only and for pit area use during special events and drifting.

New signage has been added to the front of the tower thanks to Saxton Signs and Carolina Signworks. It looks awesome and welcomes anyone as they come down the return road. There's also new signs around the office entrance.

Another new update is the waste oil and antifreeze containers located next to the blue garage near the novelty area. Please use the proper container for your waste oil and antifreeze. Please do not leave your empty containers on the ground. If you brought your oil in it, you own it, take it back with you. Please RESPECT it or you will be forced to to take the oil and antifreeze home on your dime not the track's.
As we look forward to the upcoming season, there are some great opportunities to race on the schedule. The first Wednesday night of the season is on May 7, providing the weather cooperates. There's a track rental on Friday, Test & Tune on Saturday with East Coast Gassers, NODRAMA, Northeast Super Street and 1/4 mile gamblers races. We will try again this Sunday for a Summit ET Points Race sponsored by Accurate Transmission.
Anyone wishing to sign up for points may do so online. The online accessibility will be shut down on Tuesday night and will be turned back on after Wednesday. They will be shut off again on Friday night so that the entries can be taken off the order sheets and accounted for. Please stop in the office if you have any questions or issues signing up on line.
Please check the schedule on the website for all the upcoming events. There is the calendar which gives a quick overview and then the detailed schedule that covers the events, schedule, times and prices for each event.
