Wednesday Night Heats Up

On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, the lanes were busy and the points races in the competition classes were tightening up as we come on to the final five points races this season at Lebanon Valley Dragway.


As a reminder, there is open test and tune for all vehicles on Wednesday nights. There are no restrictions on ET or speed, as long are the driver has the appropriate NHRA licensing and safety equipment. The competition classes in Sportsman, Street Trophy and Street Stick are all for cars slower than 11.50 and NHRA safety rules apply. All vehicles that run on Wednesday nights MUST have a working tail light.

The winner in Sportsman ET was Frank Ware Jr. of Selkirk, NY. He defeated last week's winner Michael Bloch of Colchester, CT in the final round. Rodney Humiston, Sr. of Fort Edward, NY finished his night in the semi-finals

Patrick Guida of West Boylston, MA took home the trophy in Street Stick when he defeated Vince Berzal of Saugerties, NY. Mike O'Mahoney of Danbury, CT finished his night in the semi-finals.

The next few weeks will be cut throat as it is anyone's guess where people will finish the season. Desmond White of Springfield, MA took the top honors when he defeated Duke Huyck of Valatie, NY in the final. Andre Green from Springfield, MA finished his night in the semi-finals.

Daniel Lyon of Mount Vernon, NY defeated Glenn Koblenzer of Schenectady, NY in the final of Street Trophy. Steve Larsen of Hopewell Junction, NY and Jeff Cross of Nassau, NY finished their night in the semi-finals.
