Sunday, August 7, 2023 was another beautiful day at Lebanon Valley Dragway. With another day with a great car count, the battles were hot on the track lending for some new faces in the winner's circle as racers challenge each other for positions in the final points races this season. Foley's Garage in Altamont, NY sponsored the day's racing and enticed the races with some bonuses for winning their classes.


In Super Pro, Jeremy Billetts of Watervliet, NY took his first win when he defeated Tom Flenke, Jr of East Hampden, CT in the final. Herb Wagner of Ravena, NY lost in the semi-finals.


Ben Strong of Southwick, MA defeated Billy Kirpens, Jr of Pittsfield, MA in the finals of Pro Eliminator. Rob Giroux of South Hadley, MA lost in the semi-finals.



Adam Sheran of Chester, MA extended his points lead in Motorcycle/Sled when he defeated Ben Fish of Averill Park, NY in the final. Joe DePietro of East Hartford, CT and Matt Gazaille of Whitinsville, MA lost in the semi-finals.



Zach Zibella of Hudson, NY defeated Dayton Cocchiaro of Wallingford, CT in the finals of Junior Dragster. Hudson Bleakley of Carmel, NY and Mason Spinelli of Latham, NY lost in the semi-finals.


Haley Powers of Hampden, MA defeated Lucas Verenini of Albany, NY in the Final of Junior Street. Juleyen Laughran-Carter of Bernardston, MA lost in the semi-finals.



Wayne Daury of New Lebanon, NY defeated Ed Mig of Freehold, NY in Open Trophy. Loretta Boyle of Wappingers Falls, NY lost in the semi-finals.



The East Coast Gassers had day two of their double header. Skip Cowell of Cortlandt Manor, NY defeated Jim Wheeler of Morris, CT in the final. Joseph Lang of West Yarmouth, MD lost in the semi-finals.


The next event will be on Wednesday, August 9, when the street cars area welcome to test and tune and race in one of the bracket racing classes. For those wishing to have a bit of competition for cash prizes, the Sportsman class is for them. The Street Trophy class is for those learning to bracket race with the winner and runner-up taking home trophies. The Street Stick class is for those who love to have side by side gear shifting competition. The Street Bike class gives those with motorcycles the oppotunity for some fast side by side action off the street. For those who want to see what their street cars will run in either the quarter mile or the eighth mile, there is test and tune session for street appearing cars with slicks or street tires and mufflers.
