Saturday hosts NODRAMA, Central Mass, Tri-9 Impalas and Gamblers Races at LVD

ree

Finally, the sun was out on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the Valley of Speed. Unfortunately, Friday was cancelled due to the forecast of storms and rain and Sunday it was raining which cancelled the Import Face Off and Test and Tune. BUT, we were able to get a great day of racing in on Saturday, even though the skies were hazy with smoke from Canada.

As the day began, it appeared that every other pair of cars was going to have an issue which created a slow start to the day. As the morning progressed everything got in sync and the day was off for some great racing.

Geno Picozzi performed well and had a double up day when he won in two classes. In the No Box Gamblers, Geno from Warwich, RI defeated Rob Giroux in the final. Sammy Alleshouse and Rob Ibbitson finished in the semi-finals.

Geno also won the Central Mass race when he defeated Erick Chevenier of Moylston, MA. Greg LeBlanc of Marlboro, MA and Matt Brooks of Millbury, MA finished in the semi-finals.

The Tri-9 Impala SS Club was on hand for their annual meet at the Valley. Bill DeBlasio of Huntington, NY took top honors when he defeated Jim McCabe from Waterford, CT in the final. Norman Pelton finished his day in the semi-finals.

Jason Heintz was happy to share his report on NODRAMA.

"Breakage and Blowups and Byes... OH MY!

The NODRAMA caravan was back in The Valley for event number 7 of our 2025 season. After losing 4 straight races lost to Mother Nature, we've now got 3 under our belt with back to back to back perfect weather at the great Lebanon Valley Dragway. Summer is heating up and so is the NODRAMA points race.

With 35 on the board, a 6-round day was ahead. A few long time NODRAMA racers are still on the sidelines after year end or early season testing catastrophes. 2x NODRAMA Champion Jeff Kraenzle was the next to victim to experience an unexpected disassembly before round 1. Marching their way through the field and meeting in the finals was none other than Mad Stash Mike Charron facing off against the only FORD racer of many within NODRAMA,making Mustangs Great again, The Boss Jeff Currie. Taking his first win of the season... Jeff Currie! Runner-up Mike Charron.

Consistency win championships and Jeff holds on to his Top3 spot while Mike Charron made a 3 spot jump to the top of the NODRAMA ladder pushing down Blue Door Bob Rizzo and Kurt Burns into a tie for the bridesmaid spot.

We have a weekend off ahead and will return to Lebanon Valley Drag for event number 8 on August 9th. Stay Tuned..."
