If you happened to stay home on Friday, August 15-Sunday, August 17, 2025, you missed some great 1/8 mile drag racing action at Lebanon Valley Dragway in West Lebanon, NY. Three days of action packed side by side bracket racing for the year's biggest purses at the Valley of Speed brought out the best of the best from the northeast. Thanks to Vince Musolino and Gary Simons for a great race and to the crew at Lebanon Valley Dragway for putting on a great race.
Friday started with two high dollar races in dragster and door cars, limiting the fields to the first 32 entries in each class to try to reach the $6,000 purse in each class. A test session for those who wanted to get a feel for the track was also held in preparation for the first of two big events on Saturday.

In the Dragster Division, Shawn Fournier took the top purse over Natalie Musolino in the final.

Paul Scribani took top honors when he defeated Mike Fitts in the final round of the high roller door car race.

Saturday saw the first of the two $10K races. Laureyns United sponsored a special no-box race that took place side by side with the main race. The winner of the no-box/non-electronic race would be entered into the main race to compete for the $10K. John Cira Jr of Rochester, NY would be the winner of the no-box race when he defeated Billy Kirpens, Jr. in the final round. Loretta Boyle of Wappingers Falls, NY and AJ Cowing of Wymouth, MA finished their day in the semi-finals of that race.

John Cira Jr would battle his way in the main race to face Charlie Mule of Yonkers, NY driving a dragster in the final round. Charlie Mule would take top honors in the Saturday $10K race, just like he did last year in the Saturday race. Paul Skindzier of Middletown, NY and Ted Leahy of Jefferson, MA finished their day in the semi-finals of the main race.

Saturday night in the Lebanon Valley Auto Racing Clubhouse, a practice tree race was sponsored by K.B. Performance. With over 60 entries, the racers, family and friends had the opportunity to take a shot at their reaction time to get top honors, prizes and bragging rights. The winner was Brennan Cunningham of North Haven, CT who defeated John Shea Donna from Bridgewater, MA in the final round. Miranda Marsters of Bethel, ME and Brian Bell of Lowell, MA gave it their best but finished in the semi-finals.

Sunday morning, bright and early and muggy, was the second day of the $10K's. Once again there was a main event along with another no-box race that would end with the winner getting entered into the main event. The winner of the no box event was Kyle Murray of South Hampden, NH when he defeated Paul Scribani of Fultonville, NY. Mike Scribani of Howes Cave, NY finished his day in the semi-finals.

After entering the main race, Kyle Murray would finish his day in the semi-finals along with Dominic Cianciarelli of Laval, Quebec, Canada. Paul Skindzier of Middletown, NY would take the win and the $10K when he defeated Eric Khoury of Derry, NH in the final round.
Special awards were presented during the weekend. The Last Woman Standing in Memory of Laurie Gagnon was presented to Loretta Boyle of Wappingers Falls, NY on Saturday and Raquel Gelinas on Sunday.
The Best Appearing Door Car was presented to Pete Sanca and the Best Appearing Dragster was presented to Wally Zalak.
Now here's a funny story. This year's event t-shirts had a replica of Charlie's car on the top of the graphic, representative of last year's win with the dragster on the bottom of the shirt representing the second 10K winner of last year, Paul Skindzier. Who knew they would both do a repeat performance this year?
Thank you to everyone who showed up and participated in the event and those who showed up to share in the excitement of a great event. Save the dates of August 7-9, 2026 as the Dewzen Products $10K Bracket Bash will be returning to Lebanon Valley Dragway! Check out updates and information for the race on Facebook in the coming year.
