With the weatherman threatening rain all week for Saturday, September 9, 2023, there was some debate what the outcome would be. Well the sun was out and it was a bit warm and the racing went on like there was never any rain forecasted and all classes finished the day with no rain. With that being said, the Northeast Old Drag Racers and Musclecar Association (NODRAMA) had a busy race day and the Orient Express Bikes in the Valley competed in their second to last points race. In addition, gamblers races were held in both electronic and non-electronic categories.
Keith DeDominicis of Torrington, CT defeated Dan Caissie of Thompson, CT in the final of the non-electronic gamblers. Rob Ibbitson finished in the semi-finals.
It was a battle of the Nichols family once again in the final of electronic gamblers when dad, Grant Nichols, Sr. defeated his daughter, Jenna Nichols of Marlborough, CT. Ed Collaboletta of Wingdale, NY and Ray Makowski of Cottekill, NY lost in the semi-finals.
Ed Mig of Freehold, NY deefated Jeffrey Kraenzle of Storrs, CT in the final of NODRAMA. John Seifert of Coventry, CT and Jack Becker of Ashford, CT lost in the semi-finals.
Adam Sheran of Blandford, MA defeated Andre Roche of Halfmoon, NY in the final of the Bikes in the Valley 9.2 Below. Joe DePietro of East Hartford, CT lost in the semi-finals.
Adam Sheran of Blandford, MA made it a double win when he defeated Jeff Tisdale of Glastonbury, CT in Bikes in the Valley Pro Eliminator. Bob Bradley of Fort Edward, NY lost in the semi-finals.
Bob Bradley of Fort Edward, NY defeated Floyde Appleby of Delmar, NY in the final of the Bikes in the Valley Street Eliminator. Duke Huyck of Valatie, NY lost in the semi-finals.
