May 21, 2022- On the hottest weekend of the season to date, the crew and racers of No Time-No Rules sponsored by ScottieWheels and RJ Miolla took to Lebanon Valley Dragway to run some of the fastest side by side races to date. Battling a hot track, these racers warmed up the surface with a test session on Friday night followed by racing in four classes on Saturday.
Wayne Silva Jr of Windsor, CT took his 1957 Ford Ranchero in the battle of the trucks over the 1956 Chevy Truck of John Cislak of Indian Orchard, MA in the final of Heavy 3800. Thomas Pinto of Mahopac, NY and James Roberts of Mastic Beach, NY were defeated in the semi’s.
In the Small Tire Class, Jon Tappen of Wesport, MA took his 1993 Ford Mustang to the winner circle on a whole shot win over Vince Musolino of Bridgeport, NY in his 1972 Chevy Nova. Bill Colson of North Granby, CT lost in the semi.
In the 6.50 Index class, Shawn Nichols of Marlborough, CT drove his 1979 Ford Mustang over Ned Mitchum’s 1993 Chevy S10 of Wynantskill, NY. Steve Pray of Middletown, CT and Denis LeBlanc lost in the semi finals.
Unfortunately, the Big Tire Class was a bit anti-climatic when Lester Bastenbeck had to park his car with a tire issue giving the win to John Cozzali.
