On Sunday, October 16, 2022, a special race, the NHRA.TV Challenge was held with special Wally trophies being awarded to all the Summit ET Classes.
Dayna Sawchyn of Norwich, CT won the special trophy when she defeated Ethan Sutherland of Chicopee, MA in the finals of Super Pro. Jamie Dymond of Kerhonkson, NY finished in the semi-finals.
Chris Lofgren of Schuylerville, NY defeated Ed Mig of Freehold, NY in the final of Pro Eliminator. Bill Kirpens Sr of Pittsfield, MA and Ryan Ouilette of Schenectady, NY finished in the semi-finals.
Matt Gazaille of Whitinsville, MA defeated Kim Kiniry of Saugerties, NY in the final of Motorcycle/Sled Eliminator. Adam Rutkauskas of Waterbury, CT finished in the semi-finals.
Greg Wilken of Hudson Falls, NY won the Open Trophy class when he defeated Mark Reed of Canajoharie, NY. Joseph Wilbur of Fort Edward, NY finished in the semi-finals.
The Junior Dragster class also ran for a special Wally trophy. Nathan Gray of New Milford, CT defeated Zach Zibella of Hudson, NY in the final of the Junior Dragsters. Brianna Gray of New Milford, CT and Michael Pofilio of East Longmeadow, MA finished in the semi-finals.
