Now that the 2023 season at Lebanon Valley Dragway is in the books, it's time to keep moving forward and plan for 2024. Make note that opening day will be Sunday, April 21, 2024 with the Spring Swap Meet and a Test and Tune. That should give everyone something to look forward to during the cold winter months in the northeast.
As most know, recently there has been much discussion about continuing with quarter mile racing or changing to eighth mile racing for some of the racing categories. We listened and thank everyone for their time and input into the dicussion. By majority vote, Lebanon Valley Dragway will remain a quarter mile race track for all the Summit ET categories and other categories unless otherwise noted as eigth mile.
Now get your calendars out. Here are the Summit ET Sunday races for 2024. All categories will be run on the quarter mile as they have in the past. Junior Street and Junior Dragsters will remain on the eighth mile as defined in their NHRA racing category.
The Port-A-Tree Gamblers Series will once again be on the schedule. These races will be run on the eighth mile as in previous years for anyone wishing to get in on some eighth mile racing experience.
The Wednesday Street Nights will begin on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 and will run every Wednesday, unless otherwise noted, until Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Racing will be on the quarter mile for all categories, Sportsman, Street Trophy, Street Stick, Street Motorcycle and test and tune.
There are some new special races scheduled for 2024 as well as some changes in dates for others. The NHRA Division 1 Event with the alcohol funny cars and alcohol dragsters will move back to the 4th of July weekend. In 2024, Lebanon Valley Dragway will once again host the NHRA Division 1 Bracket Finals in September. Check out the list of dates for upcoming specials, gate times. ticket prices etc. as the events get closer!
