Friday Night Testing into the rays of sunshine.
Friday Night Testing into the rays of sunshine.

Mother Nature loves to play head games with us and the weather forecasters. Is it going to rain? At this point, is it going to snow?  Once again the weekend was peppered with spotty this and that. Friday’s racing and testing was complete, Saturday was a wash and Sunday made it to ¾ of the way through the program before the skies opened up.

On Friday, May 29, 2026, Lebanon Valley Dragway in West Lebanon, NY was host to Scottie Wheels and Ralph Miolla’s NT/NR extended time test session. The testing proved to be good for some and not for others but it was an overall good time in preparation for the Saturday race. Unfortunately, the race day on Saturday was a wash.

Sunday’s race was a Summit ET Points Race sponsored by Curtis Industrial with the special NHRA 75th Anniversary trophies going to the winners of the Summit ET classes.

Motorcycle/Sled and Junior Dragsters were the only classes to complete and receive their trophies. Super and Pro Eliminator will compete for their trophies on Sunday, June 7.

The Motorcycle/Sled ET winner was Kim Kiniry of Saugerties, NY when he defeated Adam Rutkauskas of Waterbury, CT. Jonathan Tisdale of Napanoch, NY and Louie Supczak of Ware, MA finished in the semi-finals.

Hudson Bleakley of Carmel, NY was the winner of Junior Dragsters when he defated Mason Varin of Coventry, RI. Mason Spinelli of Latham, NY and Giuseppe Porfilio of East Longmeadow, MA finished their day in the semi-finals.

Gavin Russo of Norfolk, CT won Junior Street when he defeated John Couture of Manchester, CT. Ryleigh Morgan of Ballston Spa, NY finished in the semi-finals.

In Open Trophy, Carly Charron of Hebron, CT added another trophy to her group this season when she defeated Mike Reed of Sharon Springs, NY. Justin Giudice of Scarsdale, NY finished in the semi-finals.

Unfortunately Super Eliminator finished with round 4 and Pro Eliminator finished with round 5 where there was a spit in the prize winnings and the trophies were held off until this coming Sunday where we will try again.
