Mother Nature lost the bet on Sunday, April 30, 2023 when the weather forecast was for rain showers and the Lebanon Valley weather vortex held the worst weather away, permitting the entire first points race to come to completion and the first winners of the 2023 points season to be crowned. Although there were two small delays as the track took on some showers, the crew diligently dried the surface to continue the racing both times. Congratulations to all that endured the day to take home special 60th Anniversary Wally trophies.
In Super Eliminator, Frank Berard on Johnsonville, NY defeated Jim Petrecky of Schenectady, NY with Rick Bergeron of Burlington, CT finishing in the semi-finals.
In Pro Eliminator, Rudy Bleakley of Fishkill, NY took home the trophy over Dan McIntosh, Jr. of Dalton, MA with Ned Mitchum of Wynantskill, NY finishing the semi-finals.
Jonathan Tisdale of Napanoch, NY defeated Kim Kiniry of Saugerties, NY in the final of Motorcycle/Sled Eliminator. Brian Propper of Malta, NY finished in the semi-finals.
Zach Zibella of Hudson, NY defeated Mason Spinelli of Latham, NY in the final of Junior Dragsters, with Caroline Billetts of Rensselaer, NY finishing in the semi-finals.
Lucas Verinini of Albany, NY defeated Juleyen Laughran-Carter of Bernardston, MA. Caroline Billetts of Rensselaer, NY and Haley Powers of Hampden, MA finished in the semi-finals.
