Beautiful Weekend at LVD on Saturday for Bikes in the Valley, CMDR and Gamblers


Saturday began as the first of June and as many were saying the beginning of summer. The weather cooperated with sun filled skies and warm temperatures too at Lebanon Valley Dragway as the day opened with the second points event for Orient Express Bikes in the Valley sponsored by Kiniry Excavation. Also on the schedule was the Central Mass Drag Racers (CMDR) and quarter mile gamblers racers in Electronics and Non Electronics classes.


In the Bikes in the Valley 9.2 Below class Matt Gazaille of Putnam, CT took his Suzuki to the winner's circle when he defeated Adam Sheran of Blandford, MA. Shawn Rainey of Waterford, CT and Joseph DePietro of East Hartford, CT finished in the semi-finals.


Like once wasn't enough, Matt Gazaille made it two for two when he took the top honors in Bikes in the Valley Pro Eliminator when he defeated Louie Supczak of Ware, MA in the final of Pro. Ben Fish of Averill Park, NY and Adam Sheran of Blandford, MA finished in the semi-finals.


Bikes in the Valley Street Eliminator was topped by Bob Bradley of Fort Edward, NY when he defeated Larry Hoyt, Jr. of Elizaville, NY. Rich Kopec of Cairo, NY finished in the semi-finals.



Central Mass visited the Valley on Saturday for one of their meets. Jim May of Charlton, MA defeated Jim Pelto of Auburn, MA in the final. Rick Daigle of Spencer, MA and Erick Chevenier of Boylston, MA finished in the semi-fianls.


On almost every Saturday, gamblers racers are held in both Electronics (Box) and Non-Electronics (No Box) classes on the quarter mile. Both classes turned out to be the battle of the families in the finals.

In Non-Electronics Gamblers Paul Scribani of Fultonville, NY too on Michael Scribani of Cobleskill, NY and Paul took it to the winner's circle. Larry Vaughn bowed out in the semi-finals.


In the Electronic Gamblers, Grant Nichols, Sr. defeated his daughter Jenna Nichols of Marlborough, CT in the final. William Blaker of New Rochelle, NY and Herb Wagner of Ravena, NY finished in the semi-finals.
