ASRA, Port-A-Tree Gamblers and Junior Gamblers Compete on a Gorgeous Saturday AT LVD

Happy 80th Birthday to Howard Commander!

First and foremost we want to wish a very happy birthday to our "Commander in Charge", Howard Commander, on the celebration of his 80th birthday on Saturday, July 13, 2024. Many of the racers made it a point to wish him good greetings and even bought him a cake to celebrate in his special day.

With a full day of racing, from junior dragster gamblers, to Port-A-Tree 1/8 mile gamblers racers to NODRAMA, and finally the All-Star Stock and Super Stocks, there wasn'ta moment to spare in getting everything in and it was done with time to spare.

In the Junior Dragster Gamblers races, Ava Ecker of Wallingord, CT defeated Zoey Thorpe of Hollowville, NY in the final round. Haven Spring of Wetherfield, CT finished her day in the semi-finals.

There were Non-Electronic and Electronic classes in the Port-A-Tree 1/8 Mile Gamblers. Jonathan Gagnon of Pleasant Valley, CT defeated Brian Ouillette of Schenectady, NY in the final of the No-Box/Non-Electronic Gamblers with Kyle Armstrong of Hartford, NY and Paul Lattarulo of South Windsor, CT finishing in the semi-finals.

In the Electronic/Box Gamblers, John Ringuette of North Attleboro, MA defeated Dickie Copertino of Torrington, CT. Jamie Dymond of Kerhonkson, NY and TJ Gennett of Portland, CT finished in the semi-finals.

Tony Fillipone of Hampstead, NH claimed his first career All Star Stock/Super Stock win when he defeated Gregg Sutherland of Chicopee, MA in the final round. Gary Parker of Westfield, MA and Jay Bruneau of Bristol, CT finished their day in the semi-finals

And from our friends in the NODRAMA Camp, "NODRAMA returned after a 3-weekend break to kick off the summer stretch of races. Temps in the 90's weren't the only thing getting hot.

The leader board is heating up.

With 31 in attendance and 28 making the ladder, a scorching 5-round day was ahead. A lot of new names are going deeper on race day, while some old names within NODRAMA took it all the way to the finals. Pairing up in the final round was 2x champ King Jeff Kraenzle vs Kevin O'brien.

Congratulations to Kevin "Just Kevin" O'brien taking his first win with NODRAMA!

The leader board saw another crazy shakeup. Jeff Kraenzle and Bill Smith finally cracked into the top 10, Kevin moved up a massive 4 spots into number 2, and Ritchie Evan DeGraff is still on top of the NODRAMA mountain for the 2nd week in a row.

NODRAMA has a normal break ahead and return for event #6 on July 27th. See you there!"
