Friday, July 1, 2022 began the fourth of July weekend with a spectacular Night of Fire Show with awesome side by side runs by jet cars, funny cars, muscle cars, dragsters, motorcycles and sleds. Ernie Bogue thrilled the crowd with a 300mph run in his jet dragster while Jackie Fricke lit the candles on her alcohol dragster with a 275mph run.
A big thank you to John Finke of Finke Equipment, Selkirk, NY, owner of the Fricke dragster who treated all the kids in attendance with free ice cream at the Station 1 Ice Cream trailer.
Mother Nature decided that on Saturday, July 2, she did not want to be out done and added to her display with some heavy down pours which provided a water filled play land in the pit area. Not to lose out on the opportunity to take advantage of the situation, some of our racers used their creativity and had some fun. There were kayak pulls, water slides and some duck races before a beautiful sunset would give a preview of what was to come on Sunday.
Sunday was a Summit ET Points race sponsored by Fitts Motorsports. The day was perfect and was ended with the King of the Track race that was held over from a couple of weeks ago, crowning Jon Tisdale as the King.
