Wow! What a weekend. First and foremost we have to thank all the attendees for coming to Lebanon Valley and spending their holiday weekend with us. A special welcome to our new NHRA Division 1 Director, Mark Dawson who spent the weekend with us. The weekend included a drivers' BBQ sponsored by Ken Moses Race Transmissions and a ice cream social sponsored by Masiello Racing for the junior dragster racers and their families. Special thanks to those who helped with those events. Saturday night there were fireworks at the speedway following a shortened day of racing due to the circle track schedule for Saturday night.

We had special visitors on the track where racing was halted for their safe passing. From deer at the top end, to turtles, and the special family of "tribbles", aka "trash pandas", aka raccoons who made their way through to pass over the track to exit through the timing system holes to cool off in the creek. The creek was the place to be for all four legged and two legged attendees looking to cool off.

Due to an on track incident, Sunday's racing was cancelled and moved to Monday for completion of the races. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Janke family, friends and fellow racers.

There will be no results on the Top Dragster and Top Sportsman categories as it was decided to run these classes at a later date and place to be determined. Once this is figured out, it will be announced by NHRA.

Kudos to the track personnel from NHRA and Lebanon Valley for enduring a hot, humid and long 4th of July weekend that started on Thursday and completed on Monday. Between sun and rain, the crews worked diligently to give the racers a great racing surface.

Unfortunately, some of the competitiors had to leave due to their Monday commitments but for those who stayed, congratulations on a great day of racing. Here are the results.

In the Top Alcohol Dragster category, there were nine entries. Unfortunately, due to the extended race until Monday we had to wait for the final round. The final was held between hometown racer, Jackie Fricke of Flemington, NJ sponsored by Finke Equiment out of Selkirk, NY and Mike Coughlin of Dublin, Ohio driving the Jegs sponsored McPhilipps Dragster. It was more than a wheels up finish for Jackie when her dragster took lift at half track and she had to shut it down. Coughlin made a full pass taking the victory. Richard Bourke and Brett Windward finished in the semi-finals.

The Top Alcohol Funny Car final was held on Saturday where Wayne Morris of Lincoln University, PA took top honors when he defeated John Headley of Newportville, PA in the final.

Amanda Boicesco of Warminster, PA took the top honors in Super Comp when she defeated Jack Sepanek of Moosic, PA in the final. Philip Mollichelia of West Chester, PA finished his day in the semi-finals.

In Super Gas, Keith Mayers of Ellendale, DE defeated Michael Handras of Brooklyn, NY in the final. Robert Keister of Vineland, NJ finished his day in the semi-finals.

Edward McCleaft of Shinglehouse, PA defeated Lebanon Valley regular, Ray Butler of Enfield, CT to take top honors in Super Street. Lawrence Pulver of Palmyra, NY and Darren Wood of Harkhamsted, CT finished their day in the semi-finals.

Steve Szupka of Northampton, PA took the win in Competition Eliminator. Todd Logan of Kingston, MA finished in the runner up spot.

Byron Worner of Duncannon, PA put it in the winner's circle when he defeated Marc Lebrecque of Whately, MA in the final of Super Stock. Bob Letellier of Biddeford, ME and Peter D'Agnolo of Rochester, NY finished in the semi-finals.

In Stock Eliminator, Shane Oakes of Ottsville, PA defeated Cliff Hynson of Fredericksburg, VA in the final. Jack Matyas of Bethlehem, PA finished his day in the semi-finals.

In the Junior Dragster 6 to 10 year old category, Giulia Held of Massapequa, NY defeated Nicholas Antonette in the final.
