Racers Take Home the Coveted NHRA.TV Challenge Trophies at LVD

After a morning of track drying after overnight showers , the great crews at Lebanon Valley Dragway in West Lebanon, NY on Sunday, September 7, 2025 got everything ready to take on a day of racing. Competitors were racing for the special NHRA.TV Challenge wallys that were up for grabs in the Summit ET classes of Super Pro, Pro, Motorcycle/Sleds, and Junior Dragster. Competition was also had in Open Trophy and the North East Super Street Association (NESSA) held day two of competition. Congratulations to all the racers!

Jim Petrecky of Schenectady, NY took home the wally in Super Pro when he defeated Elizabeth Finkle of Bangal, NY. Terry Howard of Colchester, CT finished his day in the semi-finals.

Rob Giroux of South Hadley, MA took home the trophy in Pro Eliminator when he defeated Billy Kirpens, Jr of Pittsfield, MA. Joseph Wilbur of Fort Edward, NY finished his day in the semi-finals.

Adam Sheran of Chester, MA took home the trophy in Motorcycle/Sled Eliminator when he defeated Matt Gazaille of Putnam, CT. Joe DePietro of East Hartford, CT finished in the semi-finals.

Mason Spinelli of Latham, NY took home the trophy in junior dragsters when he defeated Trevor Coss of Burlington, CT . Avery Davis of Petersburgh, NY and Jayden Rogers of Fort Edward, NY finished their day in the semi-finals.

James Wells of Hudson Falls, NY defeated Michele Howard of Marlborough, CT in the final of Open Trophy. Mark Reed of Canajoharie, NY finished in the semi-finals.

Frank Volpe III of Poughkeepsie, NY took home the win in Super Street when he defeated Kenny VanGorder of Kingston, NY. Dave Marone of Willington, CT finished his day in the semi-finals.
