You've seen it on TV with arm drops and flash lights. Starting Friday night, September 10, 2021, some of the fastest heads-up racers in the Northeast will converge on The Valley of Speed at Lebanon Valley Dragway to participate in a test session in preparation for a day of heads up racing on Saturday, September 11, 2021.
Steel bodied door cars laying down some of the fastest speeds in the 1/8th mile will start their action at 5pm on Friday evening for their test session. Single passes with no times displayed on the scoreboards will give competitors the opportunity to test their setups. Gates open at 3pm. Spectators will be $15.
Saturday at 8am, the gates will open in preparation of the race which will begin at 9am and run until a winner is literally crowned in each class.
See all the heavy hitters warm up on Friday night from 5 to 10pm for $15 then watch them go at each other on Saturday until a winner is literally Crowned in each class. Classes that will be competing are Big Tire, Small Tire, 6.50 Index, Heavy 3800, and the Grudge Lane will be open for business.
Big Tires run 29.5 tires, no street tires, instant green on the "Christmas Tree" start. Power is unlimited.
Small Tire runs a 28 x 10.5 tire, no street tire. Instant gree on the "Christmas Tree" start. Small blocks only.
6.50 Index puts cars on the 1/8 mile with no street tires, no electronics and a .500 pro tree to see who can run closest to the index.
Heavy 3800 is any tire except street tire on a vehicle that weighs a minimum of 3800 pounds with unlimited power.
Then there are the grudges. These races are the put up or shut up, put your money where your mouth is and the winner takes it all.
So make it a date and come on out to see some of the best nitrous, turbos, and pro charger heads up action on the track.
