Lebanon Valley Dragway Announces 2023 Racing Schedule for their 60th Anniversary Season

It is that time when we can pull out of 2023 calendars and make our plans for the upcoming racing season. To clarify a question that keeps arising, Lebanon Valley Dragway will be running on the quarter mile unless otherwise announced.

The Summit ET points races on Sundays will be paying $1750 guaranteed to win in Super Eliminator and $1250 guaranteed to win in Pro Eliminator this year on the regular points races as well as having $2000 guaranteed to win in both classes once a month in May, June, July and August totaling 13 points races for Super, Pro and Motorcycle/sled and 12 for Junior Dragsters and Junior Street as they have a day off from points to attend the Junior Division Race.

The Wednesday Night Street Series featuring the Summit ET Sportsman/Street class will hold 18 chances to earn points as well as the Street Stick, Pure Street Motorcycle classes and the non-points class Street Trophy. Every Wednesday beginning in May through September we will also have test and tune lanes for street appearing vehicles with mufflers, slicks and street tires both permitted.

The NODRAMA (Northeast Old Drag Racers and Musclecar Association) crew will return with races on 12 Saturdays this season as well as participating in the Saturday on the weekend of the Dover Reunion race.

The SuperCars will resume their races on six different weekends under the leadership of Ralph Barbagallo. More information about the SuperCars can be found at www.supercarraces.com

NESSA (North East Super Street Association) will be holding their races on a pro tree with a 10.90 index with some races on Saturdays and a few double headers with a follow up race on some Sundays.

For those motorcycle lovers, the Orient Express Bikes in the Valley will be holding a race a month beginning with their first race on Saturday, May 6 in three classes, Street, Pro and 9.2 Below.

Other clubs such as Central Mass, the All Star Stock/Super Stock Racing Association, NETO (North East Timing Organization, the East Coast Gassers, Buick Club as well as others are on the schedule.

Gamblers races in both a non-electronic class (foot brake) and electronic class (box/button) will be held on every Saturday as time/car count permits. Special days where there definitely will be a gamblers race are listed on the schedule as well as the Monthly Port-A-Tree Gamblers race series which is a points series, free for racers to join if they should so wish.

A new class this year is 1/8 mile Top Dragster/Top Sportsman class with a guaranteed purse of $2000 to win per race sponsored by Mohawk Chevrolet and a special race on the Night of Fire with a guaranteed $2000 to win sponsored by Langenbach Companies. More information will be forthcoming so keep a watchful eye on the website.

Friday Track Rentals are held almost every Friday during the season and give a great opportunity for some seat time and adjustments to any and all race and street vehicles. These events are open to all who wish to run their vehicle down the quarter mile. Pre-register and save some money or if your schedule is unknown, you can pay a bit more at the gate on the day of the rental. Once again, these events are open to anyone unless otherwise stipulated as private on the schedule.

Drifting will be held on designated Fridays in the large parking area near the speedway clubhouse with the gates opening at 2pm. More information can be found on Facebook under Lebanon Valley Drift.

There are so many exciting races, car shows and drifting on the schedule for 2023 and we invite you to take a look at the entire schedule, which is subject to changes on the Dragway website at www.dragway.com
