Kirpens Jr Locks Up the Points in Sportsman. Other Classes Too Close to Call Until the Final Week

It was another scorcher on and off the track at The Valley for the Wednesday Night Street Program on August 25, 2021 with all the prospective champions taking wins in their classes. In the Sportsman ET Division, the final of the evening saw the #1 and #2 in points go head to head on the track with Billy Kirpens Jr taking the win over Russ Wilber. Kirpens was declared both the winner of the evening's race as well as the Points Champion for the 2021 season with a substantial lead.

In Street Stick, the final points is too close to call as Ken Boyer took the win on the evening and extended his points lead over Jesse Farquhar to 30 points. It's not an impossibility for the lead to change but it can happen.

Pure Street Motorcycle is having the closest points battle thus far with Guy Gardner and Bob Bradley going head to head. Bradley and Gardner were tied for first going into the final round tonight, but that quickly ended when Guy took the win and pushed himself 11 points ahead of Bradley. Next week will be a nail biter!

The only class on the evening that isn't a points class is Street Trophy and tonight saw a first time winner with Joe Marino taking out Tim Patterson.

Reminder that next week may be the final points night in the classes but that's not the end of the racing for Wednesday nights as the classes will continue to run some special race on the following weeks.
