Jr Dragster Summer Series Kicks off, NESSA Competes 1 of 2 on the weekend & Port-A-Tree Gamblers Series Race #2 in the Books


The sun was out and the weather was beautiful for the Saturday, June 15, 2024 drag races at Lebanon Valley Dragway for day one of two on the weekend which saw the first of three Junior Dragster Summer Series races scheduled for this summer. The North East Super Street Series held their first race of a double header on the weekend with some great side by side 10.090 action and the second of the Port-A-Tree Gamblers races on the 1/8 mile was held in both the non-elctonics and electronics classes.


In the junior dragster summer gambler series, the junior dragster racers get to compete for cash and prizes on three different dates. The next race is scheduled for Saturday, July 13. For the first race, Zach Gregnon of Troy, NY defeated Michael Porfilio of East Long Meadow, MA in the final. Dayton Cocchiaro of Wallingford, CT finished in the semi-finals.


The Northeast Super Street Association set up for two days of competition with day one being won by Mike Fitts of Groton, CT when he defeated Mike Falcone of Wolcott, CT in the final. Dave Jones of Salisbury, CT finished in the semi-finals.


The second in the Port-A-Tree 1/8 Mile Gamblers series was held. Paul Lattarulo of South Windsor, CT won the Non-Electronics class when he defeated Rob Ibbitson in the Final. Darell Aubin of Corinth finished in the semi-finals.


The Electronics Class of the Port-A-Tree 1/8 Mile Gamblers was won by Keith Lauzier, Jr of Winsted, CT when he defeated Ed Martelli of Schenectady, NY. Tom Flemke, Jr. and Rob Day finished in the semi-finals.
