Saturday, August 30, 2025 was a great day for racing at Lebanon Valley Dragway in West Lebanon, NY. The weather was gorgeous and the cars were hot on the track. It was day one of two of the SuperCars which had a great turn out. NODRAMA (Northeast Old Drag Racers and Musclecar Association) held their event number 9 and once again with over 40 cars in competition, it was an exciting day. Gamblers races on the quarter mile were held in both non-electronics and electronics classes was held and saw a double up winner in non-electronics.

The final of the box/electronic gamblers saw a familiar family feud. After Richie Williams lost in the semi-finals to Grant Nichols and his daughter, Jenna Nichols had a bye into the finals, it set the family matchup between father and daughter in the final round. It was soon over in the final for the Marlborough, CT duo when daughter, Jenna put on the red light, giving the win to her father Grant.

Kurt Burns of Salt Point, NY defeated Jeff Andrews of Pittsfield, MA in the final of non-electronics/no box gamblers. Tim Morris of Voluntown, CT finished his day in the semi-finals. This would be win number one of the day for Kurt Burns.... next up would be NODRAMA.

Jason Heintz gave the NODRAMA update for the race:
"Saturday Saturday Saturday! At Lebanon Valley Dragway. NODRAMA Event number 9 of our 2025 season did not disappoint. Those in the hunt can start to taste the coveted NODRAMA Championship. 46 on the ladder, friends and family galore supporting our program, and the NODRAMA Losers Lounge has been upgraded with Swag. Through some strange NODRAMA Sorcery, Bob Aleksandrowicz and I even made an appearance in the Winner's Circle Team photo.
Here we go!
Another full field, another 6-round day. As we always say, anything can happen on any given NODRAMA Saturday. Long time racer and NODRAMA Veteran Angelo Sclafani shook things up early taking out points leader Mike Charron in round one. That opened the door for those at the top to get locked in and make their moves. Marching through the field on one side with the 'Old Monza' was Kurt Burns. From the other side, Bob Rizzo continued his hot streak taking out Jim Burns in round four dropping the hammer on the tree, earning a Comp Bye into the finals, and taking away the shot for some Burns on Burns crime. It's Kurt vs Blue Door Bob once again. At the stripe.... Taking his second win of the season, give it up for Kurt Burns!
Side note of awesomeness: Kurt pulled double duty all day at The Valley on Saturday, logging an insane 12 round wins, to double up on the day win total topping the NO-Box Gamblers race. The little engine that could did it again.
Last race, Rizzo and Burns were tied up at the number 2 spot, With this 2nd win on the season, Kurt holds the Top spot all by himself. The 2025 Crown is still anyone's for the taking.
With the completion of Event 9, our official new-member cutoff for the 2025 season has come and gone. Anyone interested in running with NODRAMA in 2025 will have to wait until we open up the membership again in prep for the 2026 season at our official season ending/champion crowning/season beginning banquet always on the books sometime in February (2026).
The final 4 events of our 2025 season is here. Up next is Event 10 on September 12th. As always, we'll see you at the track and, Stay tuned..."
