Sunday, May 8, 2022- The first Summit ET Points race of the 2022 season got off to a great start on Mother’s Day. Happy belated Mother’s Day to all the moms. The New Yorkers dominated the wins on this first day with a win going to a returning champion in Super Eliminator. The Northeast Super Street Association joined the day for day two of their double header.
In Super Eliminator, Bruce Fiorito from Cortlandt Manor, NY, a champion from two years ago returned to the winner’s circle when he defeated Richie Gauruder from Windsor Locks, CT. New comer Elizabeth Pilbin and Kristin Gagnon both from Norfolk, CT finished in the semi’s.
In Pro Eliminator, long time racer Scott Beecher of Winsted, CT defeated Denis Boyle from Red Hook, NY. Henry Trapp of Stormville, NY finished in the semi’s.
In Motorcycle/Sled ET, Jeff Tisdale from Glastonbury, CT defeated fellow racer and brother Jonathan Tisdale from Napanoch, NY Louie Supczek from Ware, MA and Adam Sheran from Chester, MA finished in the semi’s.
Travis Paquin from Kingston, NH defeated Champion Jenna Nichols from Marlborough, CT in the final of the Junior Dragster division. Giuseppe Porfilio of East Longmeadow, MA finished in the semi’s.
Junior Street saw Caroline Billetts of Rensselaer, NY defeat Spencer Jasmin of Canaan, CT with Lucas Verenini of Albany, NY finishing in the semi’s.
Open Trophy participant Nicky Oivieri of Fishkill, NY defeated Ed Mig from Freehold, NY. Tim Patterson from Williamstown, NY finished in the semi’s.
Super Street competitor Al Owens of Hyde Park, NY defeated Shawn Nichols of Marlborough, CT with George McGuigan, Jr. of East Hampton, CT finishing in the semi’s.
