First Orient Express Bikes in the Valley in the Books

On Saturday, May 6, 2023 the first race of the season for the Orient Express Bikes in the Valley rolled onto the track at Lebanon Valley Dragway in West Lebanon, NY for some awesome two wheel side by side action with a few sleds thrown in. The weather was fantastic allowing the racing to integrate into some great test and tune and gamblers races.


The Schnitz Racing 9.2 Below bike class was conquered by Ryan Beardsley of Derby, CT over Adam Sheran of Chester, MA in a final of the Suzukis. Brian Propper of Malta, NY and John Hastings of Poughkeepsie, NY finished in the semi-finals.


MPS Pro ET bikes was won by Mike McCarthy of Bristol, CT over Ben Fish of Averill Park, NY with Ron Blake of Oxford, CT finishing in the semi's.


Adam Sheran, runner up in Schnitz Racing 9.2 Below; Floyd Appleby Runner up in the M2 Shocks Street Bike; Bob Bradley winner of the M2 Shocks Street Bike;

The M2 Shocks Street Bike class was won by Bob Bradley of Fort Edward, NY over Floyd Appleby of Delmar, NY with John Thompson, Jr of Springfield, MA finishing in the semi-finals.


Jenna Nichols, winner of Electronic Gamblers

Gamblers races in Non-Electronic and Electronic classes were held for anyone who wanted some side by side racing on the quarter-mile. Jenna Nichols of Marlborough, CT won her first race of the season against Dave Henry of Ballston Lake, NY with Grant Nichols Sr of Marlborough, CT and father of Jenna and Dana Bochan of East Hampton, CT finishing in the semi-finals.


Geno Picozzi, winner of Non-Electronic Gamblers.

Geno Picozzi of Warwick, RI took home his first win of the season over Denis Boyle of Red Hook, NY in the Non-Electronic gamblers with Warren Wright of Salem, CT finishing in the semi-finals.
