Final Sunday Summit ET Points Race for 2025 in the Books, Champions Crowned

Sunday, August 24, 2025 was the final Summit ET Points Race in memory of Jon Petrecky, sponsored by T&T Body King Inc.. This was the final points race for the Sunday racing categories for the 2025 racing season setting up the team for the bracket finals to be held in September at Numidia Dragway and crowing the 2025 Track Champions in Super, Pro, Motorcycle, Junior Dragsters, and Junior Street.
The day also saw points race day 2 of the North East Timing Organization's (NETO) double header. In the NETO Competition class, Cody Powell of Cochecton, NY took kt he win over Brian English of Norwalk, CT in the final. Fred Michel of Barrington, NJ finished in the semi-finals. In the NETO Nostalgia Class Frank Paradiso Jr of Marlboro, NJ took top honors when he defeated Steve Pirritano of Feasterville, PA in the final. Jerry Hillier of Churchville, PA finished the day in the semi-finals.

In Super Eliminator, Mark Beaton of Torrington, CT took the win when he defeated Shawn Nichols of Marlborough, CT. Dale Shaffer of Delanson, NY and Jeff Tisdale of Reddick, FL finished their days in the semi-finals.

Pete Bushnell of Manchester, CT took the win in Pro Eliminator when he defeated Rob Giroux of South Hadley, MA in the final. Nelson Belot, Sr. of Dalton, MA finished his day in the semi-finals.

In Motorcycle/Sled ET, Jonathan Tisdale of Napanoch, NY took the win over Matt Gazaille of Putnam, CT in the final. Kim Kiniry of Saugerties, NY finished his day in the semi-finals.

Mike Morgan of Ganesvoort, NY took the win in Open Trophy when he defeated Steve Kadzela of Colebrook, CT. Emily Rogers of Hudson Falls, NY finished in the semi-finals.

Mason Spinelli of Latham, NY, grandson of Jon Petrecky, won Junior Dragster when he defeated Haley Powers of Hampden, MA in the final. Jayden Rogers of Fort Edward, NY finished in the semi-finals.

John Couture of Ellington, CT won Junior Street when he defeated Haley Power of Hampden, MA in the final. Colin Morin of Chicopee, MA finished in the semi-finals.
That brings us to the top finishers in each category for the 2025 season. Don't be fooled. Even though the Summit ET Points classes are done, there's still ALOT of great racing between now and the end of October, so don't miss out. The 2025 Bracket finals team for LV will be completed after Wednesday night's street night and the full team will be announced shortly after that. Until then, congratulations to the top finishers.
