Sunday, September 3, 2023 wasn't a county fair at Lebanon Valley Dragway but what it was, was a great time for muscle car enthusiasts with a large car show hosted by the Weekend Cruisers and lots of drag racing. Attendees were treated to some special drag racing demonstrations too including a jet car, some side by side 1/8 mile No Time racing and some 1/8 mile Top Sportsman racing along with eight different categories of Musclemania Racing Madness. Congratulation to all the winners.
Some of the local No Time racers set up an 8 car no time shootout with some awesome side by side heads up racing. Alfredo Porfilio took top honors defeated Noah Stein in the final round.
Some of the Top Sportsman racers join in the action to show off some side by side 1/8 mile bracket racing Bill Thiel of Oakdale, CT took the victory of Mike Zibella of Hudson, NY in the final with Dan Lussier of Pittsfield, MA and Austin Lobban of Rensselaer, NY losing in the semi-finals.
In the 14.0 and Slower Musclemania category, Gary Daury of New Lebanon, NY took the honors over Amy Luzzi of Windsor, CT in the final with Bud Leveille of Turner Falls, MA losing in the semi-finals.
The 13.0 Musclemania category was won by Jim Schmidbauer of Albany, NY when he defeated Justin Bissonette of Glenville, NY. Len Ziamik of Adams, MA lost in the semi-finals.
The 12.0 Musclemania category was won by Bob Bowers of Lee, MA when he defeated Greg LeBlanc of Marlboro, MA. John Delisle of Three Rivers, MA lost in the semi-finals.
The 11.0 Musclemania category was won by Victoria Ibbitson of Old Saybrook, CT when she defeated Jim Pelito of Auburn, MA.
The 10.0 Musclemania category was won by Ritchie DeGraff of Woodstock, NY when he defeated Ryan Ouillette of Schenectady, NY. Ed Mig of Freehold, NY lost in the semi-finals.
The 9.99 and Quicker Musclemania category was won by Debby Kehlenbach of North Haven, CT over Al Picarelllo of Copake, NY. Fred Ebert of Saratoga, NY lost in the semi-finals.
The Modern Muscle Musclemania category was won by Mark Reed of Canajoharie, NY when he defeated Wender Gomas of Shrewsbury, MA. David Gallagher of Randolph, VT lost in the semi-finals.
The American Muscle Truck Musclemania category was won by Brian Cote of Broad Brook, Ct when he defeated Dan Nelson of Norfolk, CT.
