Friday, September 23, 2022 opened the Dover Nostalgia Drags weekend with a test session that was attended by many who braved the cold weather and wind. Mother Nature sure loved pulling the stops out and dropping the temperatuers into the 50's. Many who participated were able to get multiple passes down the quarter-mile to make changes and enhancements to their vehicles to get ready for the two days of racing that was to come.
On Saturday, participants were able to compete in Gamblers races in Non-Electronics and Electronics. NETO held the first of two races in both NETO Comp and NETO Nostalgia and NODRAMA held their next event.
The winner of the Non-Electronic Gamblers was Rich Janke of Newburgh, NY over Kevin Bleakley of Carmel, NY. Jason Masi of New Windsor, NY finished in the semi-finals.
The winner of the Electronic Gamblers was Andy Deveno of Holyoke, MA defeating Jeff Warner. Stephen Pray of Berlin, CT lost in the semi-finals.
Neto Competition saw Vinny Laurita Sr of Lagrangeville, NY defeat Brian English of Norwalk, CT. Mike Grafas of Brick, NJ lost in the semi-finals.
Tyler Segara of New Milford, CT defeated Alphonso Zimbaldii of Putnam Valley, NY in the final of NETO Nostalgia. Drew Fisher of Brewster, NY and Alan Dwy of Poughkeepsie, NY finished in the semi-finals.

Unfortunately, Sunday’s events weren’t as optimal as the rest of the weekend. With the threat of rain in the afternoon, the elimination rounds were started and only finished one full round of competition after the qualifying round.
The event was called as complete and it was decided that the winners of the classes would be determined by the best packages from the previous round of competition.
