All-Stars & TD/TS Beat the Weather and Make it a Full Race Day on Saturday, July 29, 2023

After completing a full schedule of racing, the rains came, then for the evening we were graced with a double rainbow- Photo Courtesy of Kat Pilbin

Luck was on our side at Lebanon Valley Dragway on Saturday, July 29, 2023 when the weatherman's 80% chance of rain failed to become truth until the afternoon. Central Mass, ASRA and Top Dragster/Top Sportsman all completed their races along with a bunch of test and tune cars completing several runs throughout the day. As the races finished, the skies opened up and drenched the Valley followed by blue skies and cooler weather.

Jasmine Weider, winner of Top Dragster/Top Sportsman

Jasmine Weider of Kingston, NY defeated Frank Berard of Johnsonville, NY in the final of Top Dragster/Top Sportsman to win the $2000 guaranteed to win sponsored by Brian Hansbury. Jeff Tisdale from Glastonbury, CT finished in the semi-finals.

The All Star Racing Association completed their race and reported their results on Facebook at the end of the day. Their report was as follows:

"We were able to beat the rain today by a mere 20 minutes and complete race #3. Tim Stickles was victorious over the red hot Nic Barsamian. Congats to the entire Stickles clan on a great job as well as to the Barsamian crew on another final round. Tony Cretella made a return to the driver's seat in Jim Farrell's camaro and was the lone semifinalist."

The Central Mass Drag Racers completed their race and crowned the day's winner. They also reported their racing adventures on Facebook which I will share with everyone.

"And from Central Mass Another hot and humid but great day of racing yesterday at Lebanon Valley for points race #5. There was a small group of 16 hard cores that showed up to race each other and the weather. Semi finalists were Nick Daigle who was taken out by Erick Cheverier and #2 in points Greg Leblanc taken out by #1 in points Steve Campanle who is stretching out his lead. Rain almost stopped the final from happening but cleared up and we had us a race! Erick still sleeping on tree from his rain delay nap allowed Steve to whomp it out in front to victory. Congrats to Steve for his 2nd win of the season and continued points lead."

Thank you for everyone's patience and support on the weather roller coaster. Sunday looks to be an awesome day with another race from the All-Stars and Laureyns United sponsored $2000 to win in Pro and Super. Don't forget about Wednesday night street test and tune where street appearing cars with mufflers can race down the quarter mile with the gates opening at 5pm and racing at 6pm. Come and join us. Let's see if the weatherman can be right two race days in a row.
